A little about me and my painting
I began drawing and sketching at a young age and would paint and draw in any free time I had. My fascination of art and Dinosaurs led me to outline exact sized replicas onto the playground when I was in infants school - I am glad that I had such understanding teachers at the time.
Art during my years in secondary school left me disillusioned with the whole process.
After years working in jobs with more technical skills than artistic ones, I was able to find my inner desire to paint and draw again and this has led me to taking up watercolour with help and support from Lynne Holehouse and the Seventh Wave gallery in Bude, Cornwall.
I love abstract work with a firm grounding in the real. I prefer images with passion and feeling to those displaying technical brilliance.
I hope to continue to grow as an artist and find inspiration from the outside world and my new daughter who both inspires, and removes any time to paint.
